RUNNING CYCLE

Posted by Rational-Delirium - March 22nd, 2014

The head's messed up, and so are the calfs and the arms, but oh well.

It's actually embarassing with the head like that though, so I'll fix it later.

I think its pretty cool, but if anything the main issue would be that the character is just going from A to B without any fluidity. Then again, this is pretty norm for Anime style animation haha, so if your going for that, its pretty good! Take what ever from my comment, and it seems you already are addressing the head and a bit of the limbs, so that's cool =). Good luck bud, keep it up!

I had no idea what you meant until I saw Jazza's pose-to-pose tutorial. Breakdowns, I guess they're really important....

Anime style, when it's really good, sometimes takes principles from older western animation..

Not bad. I guess you want him to lean a bit forward when he runs.
I think the head should move along with the torso just a little. Don't take my comment as an obligation, go and check some references, I found some already. I hope they help :)

Looking at those references, I realize that shoulders really matter, but I didn't pay attention to those until really later on :p Would have helped with head movement and bounce in general.
